As the fall sports season wraps up, we’ll be profiling two standout athletes from schools in the area, nominated by their athletic directors. Today's athletes are from Enosburg High School.

 

Katja Langmaid

Grade: 12 

Sport: Soccer. 

Position: Goalkeeper. 

What were your best and worst moments of the season? Best moment: beating Lamoille 2-1 in over time. Worst moment: losing two games in a row because the refs took goals away from us. 

Do you play other sports? Which is your favorite? Soccer is my favorite but I also play softball and basketball. 

Do you plan to play after high school? I am planning to play soccer in college

Who is your favorite athlete? My favorite athletes are Hope Solo and Abby Wambach. 

What other activities do you do? I have been involved in 4-H for ten years and volunteer a lot in the community.

What is your least favorite school subject? Math!!! 

If you could just know one language without having to learn it, what would it be? German. 

If you could communicate with one animal, what would it be? Horses. 

Name something that really annoys you. People who are full of themselves. 

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be? Pizza!!!! 

If you could be a celebrity for a day, who would you be? I would be Oprah Winfrey. 

If you had to get a tattoo, what would you get? A rose and a German flag for my grandmother. 

 

 

 

William Gleason Jr. 

Grade: 11 

Sport: Soccer

What were your best and worst moments of the season? The best is when we

upset the number 6 seed in playoffs. The worst is when we lost the second

round. 

Do you play other sports? Which is your favorite? I play basketball also and

might decide to play golf. 

Do you plan to play after high school? Yes. I hope to use my talent to get a good

college education and then get a good job. 

Who is your favorite athlete? Lebron James. 

What other activities do you do? I also go hunting and volunteer around

the school. 

What is your least favorite school subject? Anything in math or gym class. 

If you could just know one language without having to learn it, what   

would it be? Italian. 

If you could communicate with one animal, what would it be? My dogs.
